Roadmap workflow

Learn about the FeedbackFlow roadmap workflow.

Your FeedbackFlow project is a living thing. It will grow and evolve over time. And what better way to keep track of that growth than with a roadmap.

Each item on the roadmap is a task that needs to be completed. It could be either a new feature or a bug. During the lifecycle of an item, it will go through different stages. These stages are presented as labels. The default labels are:

  • In Progress
  • Completed
  • Released

Once an item is assigned a Completed label, it can be added to the changelog.

How it works

Items on the roadmap can be created through the FeedbackFlow project dashboard or through the FeedbackFlow Widget.

Dashboard

Creating an item through the dashboard is simple and is meant for project managers or team leads.

  1. Go to the FeedbackFlow dashboard and select the project you want to add an item to.
  2. In the aside menu, click on the Roadmap tab.
  3. Click on the Add item button to add a new item.
  4. Fill in the details of the item.
  5. Click on the Create button.

Widget

Creating an item through the widget is meant for users who want to suggest a new feature or report a bug. Since users only write a brief description of the item, for simplicity's sake, we generate the title for you using AI.

Next steps

Keep your users in the loop with a public roadmap.
