Widget workflow

Learn about the FeedbackFlow widget workflow.

Once the FeedbackFlow widget is set up on your website, you can start collecting feedback from your users. This guide will help you understand how the widget works and how it complements your feedback collection process.

When a user interacts with the widget, they can submit feedback in the form of a suggestion or a bug report. This is what happens next:

  1. The feedback is sent to the FeedbackFlow server where it is converted into an item.
  2. The item is added to the project's private roadmap.
  3. The project manager or team lead reviews the item and add additional labels/context or deletes it if it is not relevant.
  4. The developer picks up the item and changes the label to In Progress.
  5. Once the item is completed, the developer changes the label to Completed. If there is a more complicated workflow, additional labels can be used to reflect the different stages of the workflow.
  6. The item can now be added to the changelog.

When an item hits your roadmap it is automatically set as private. After you review the item you can make it public by checking the Public visibility switch in the item's details. Public items are visible on the public roadmap for your users to see and vote on.
